The island has maintained a delicate equilibrium between the monarchy, the magic council, and the general population. With Independence having been around for a little over 150 years, the country has been evolving and adapting at an incredible rate; with this progress came turmoil, and now a serpent has risen from the shadows - the island faces newfound peril, causing an unforeseen test for it's citizens. The previously smooth operation of their society now stands at a crossroad, with uncertainty looming over the future. ◈ 95% custom lore: while set in the real world, it is years in advance and countries have custom lore attached to them. With AT LEAST one major event every month, events are run frequently and can be run by both staff AND regular members alike.

Little Heartaches, a little nightmares AU
After Six dropped Mono into the signal tower he became a slave to it, the thin man ensures that he can't leave the city. His only hope for escaping is a little girl called Noone, who saw something in the tower, something she wasn't supposed to see.
Six is far away from Pale City, aboard the Maw. She has no memory of Mono as all the pain and suffering Monos "betrayal" caused had made part of herself separate and become Shadow Six, who keeps Six from the truth and tries to distract her. Like bringing her to the Maw so she can find her long lost brother Seven, the runaway kid.
Otto continues his search for his long lost brother and sister (Mono and raincoat girl). He claims he's a specialist in dream psychology, and that he can cure nightmare disorder. Which gives him a steady supply of children

The show has only just begun so hurry in and join the fun at the Court of Contortions! During the 90s in Maine there was a circus built off the back of a failed pharmaceutical company that only the exorbitantly wealthy could afford to go too, there were plenty of rumours that all the missing people in the city ended up performing there and...well they're all true! The Court of Contortions kidnapped people for performers and used dangerous drugs to alter them and give them abilities they can use to wow a crowd with, they also have plenty of harmful side effects but we don't talk about that. So if you're looking for a job, the show of your life or if you were taken here against your will we promise the Court of Contortions has something for you!

We expect our members to be semi lit to lit, it's ok if you slip up sometimes but if you're literacy rate is one line this servers not for you

Its up to you what abilities your performer has and there's no set list of choices, that being said we have a few rules of what won't be allowed to keep things fair.
