How to register your Discord server with ServerHunt

ServerHunt is a platform designed to help you discover and promote Discord servers. Follow these steps to get your server listed and attract new members!

1Step 1 - Add the ServerHunt bot

Begin by adding the ServerHunt bot to your server. We only require invite permission.

2Step 2 - Configure your server details

You can configure your server's profile using either our website dashboard (recommended) or via Discord slash commands.

Method A: Website Dashboard (Recommended)
  1. Log in with Discord at the Manage Servers page.
  2. Select your server to open the edit page.
  3. Configure fields: description, tags, minimum age requirement, NSFW status, hidden status, and social links (Twitter, Instagram, Website).
  4. Note on invites: The bot automatically creates an invite code when added, using the server's system channel, otherwise another text channel when possible. The server becomes search-listable once the description is set and a valid invite code exists.
  5. To change the invite channel, you can select the invite channel on the website dashboard edit page and save to recreate/repair the invite, or use Discord slash commands (/configure or /server_set_invite_channel).
Method B: Discord Slash Commands

Alternatively, run these slash commands within your server:

  • /configure allows you to set:
    • description: A compelling and concise description of your server.
    • tags: Relevant search tags separated by commas (e.g., "gaming, coding, chill").
    • min_age: Specify the minimum age requirement for server members.
    • nsfw: Indicate whether NSFW content is allowed/present (true/false).
    • invite_channel: Select the channel for the invite that new members see first.

(Note: Twitter, Instagram, and website social links are web dashboard only and cannot be set by /configure.)

Your server's primary language and vibe (e.g., chill, competitive, social) are automatically detected from your description — no need to set them manually.

Pro tip: Take your time to craft an engaging description and choose accurate tags to improve your server's discoverability!

3Step 3 - Verify your server configuration

You can verify that your server is successfully set up and active using either of these ways:

  • Check the Manage Servers dashboard on our website. It will display alerts or invite warnings if any issues are detected.
  • Run the /get_info slash command in your server to confirm the status and ensure a valid invite link is active.
