During the 90s in Maine there was a circus built off the back of a failed pharmaceutical company that only the exorbitantly wealthy could afford to go too, there were plenty of rumours that all the missing people in the city ended up performing there and...well they're all true! The Court of Contortions kidnapped people for performers and used dangerous drugs to alter them and give them abilities they can use to wow a crowd with, they also have plenty of harmful side effects but we don't talk about that. So if you're looking for a job, the show of your life or if you were taken here against your will we promise the Court of Contortions has something for you!

In 2018 there was a surge of cursed energy, causing the number of curses and sorcerers to increase. With these new changes the Tokyo and Kyoto Jujutsu Colleges began accepting more sorcerers to be trained at the schools, finding and recruiting people who had cursed energy. New curses began to appear and cause issues- attacking from inside technology. It's 2021, and it seems that a new group of curse users has appeared, their motives are unknown but with each attack they grow closer to the schools. The island has maintained a delicate equilibrium between the monarchy, the magic council, and the general population. With Independence having been around for a little over 150 years, the country has been evolving and adapting at an incredible rate; with this progress came turmoil, and now a serpent has risen from the shadows - the island faces newfound peril, causing an unforeseen test for it's citizens. The previously smooth operation of their society now stands at a crossroad, with uncertainty looming over the future. ◈ 95% custom lore: while set in the real world, it is years in advance and countries have custom lore attached to them. With AT LEAST one major event every month, events are run frequently and can be run by both staff AND regular members alike.

With the amount of prestige this school has amassed for itself in the last century and a half, no amount of money or connections will get you a spot here! No no no! Admission is only granted to the most dedicate, the most talented, and the most passionate applicants! You, my good friend, are one of them! So what are you waiting for? Tuition is (relatively) cheap and they even have dorms! Though, do avoid the cafeteria salad. Apparently there are bugs in them! Anyways, with that part of the way, heya y'all! As you can probably tell, this server is super new and tiny (as of writing this, I'm the only human in the server)! Hopefully we can get a nice and active community going, but that'll be for time to tell! The server is built to be super chill and lightweight, so don't worry about having to follow thousands of rules or fill out massive overly detailed character sheets (though that would be nice)! Avatar: Blood in the Waves is an up and coming avatar roleplay server. Set in a world where the Fire Nation could hold an entire continent, but neither could the Earth Kingdom force them out completely, resulting in a peace treaty that allowed the Fire Nation to keep their most valuable colonies, but also made necessary the payment of reparations. Without technology capable of standing against the technologically superior fire nation, there was no real way to enforce this part of the treaty. The Fire Nation viewed the treaty as an insult to the soldiers who fought and died, while the Earth Kingdom viewed as not punishing enough on the Fire Nation. With neither parties satisfied, tensions are high, bitter memories are still fresh, and the risk of another war is ever present.. Will you fan the fires of hate and provoke another war? Or will you do your best to preserve the fragile peace? The fate of the four nations is in your hands..
